Clients learn by using tools to identify the thinking that has them “Stuck”. This “stuck” state keeps the symptoms of PTSD elevated and folks feeling irritable most of the time. Typically, by session 6 there is a turning point, the light starts to flicker, there is a change that starts happening, and the motivation to finish the work in the program grows because the client can see and feel the change happening. By session 12 the person is happy that they invested the time in themselves. They can engage in life again with more ease, relationships have improved, and they feel relief from a very heavy burden.

EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

It is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. EMDR therapy is designed to resolve unprocessed traumatic memories in the brain. For many clients, EMDR therapy can be completed in fewer sessions than other psychotherapies. Our brains have a natural way to recover from traumatic memories and events, and EMDR therapy helps facilitate this process.
